About Us

 

DR. NICHOLAUS NATURE CONSERVATION  is a non governmental, non partisan, non religious and not for profit sharing autonomous and independent civil organization established in 2016 and shall be governed by the laws governing non-governmental organizations of Tanzania under Act no 24 of 2002.

 

The mandate of DR. NICHOLAUS NATURE CONSERVATION shall extend to all matters pertaining to environmental nature in the entire community of Tanzania. Its vision is to be the center for increasing community commitment to conservation of terrestrial and aquatic habitats and health ecosystem, disaster risk reduction, enhancing knowledge management to disaster risk reduction, increasing public awareness to environmental concerns, improve governance of conservation to both public and private institutions, and integrating conservation, livelihoods, sustainable natural resources utilization, alternative energy sources, non-timber forest products and conservation business.

 

 

Vision Statement

 

To have healthy land free from soil erosion, desertification, soil degradation and a community that is aware of nature conservation.

 

Mission Statement

 

To promote afforestation and reforestation in areas faced with deforestation, soil erosion, soil degradation and desertification.

Objectives

 

Objectives of Dr. Nicholaus Nature Conservation We are looking forward to participate in addressing the following issues: -

 

  1. To promote the conservation of threatened, endangered and rare plants and animal species, throughout the areas facing a high climate change.
  2.  To advocate for the planting of trees and the conservation activities particularly reforestation and agro forestry.
  3. To advocate for the planting of trees and the conservation of the environment by both locals and international people who visit to areas.
  4. To promote the creation of conservation areas, that is free from human intervention and destruction throughout the region.
  5. To promote field research and studies in environment through involvement of local and international students, intern, volunteers, universities and institutes interested in nature conservation.
  6.  Raise awareness to the Community on Environment Conservation.
  7. Enhancing marine and fresh water conservation in relation to vegetation.
  8.  Raise awareness on the protection of natural resource.
